This unit has not been renovated but has been well maintained and in excellent condition. The inspection is only for the chimney on the outside. If the wood stove needs to be cleaned, then they have to get into the unit to clean the chimney. Seller has never used the wood stove he told me. So as far as anyone knows, the wood stove works but has not been used in years. A permit from the City of Aspen is required for a kitchen remodel as it involves plumbing and electrical. I don't know how long the permit process takes, it depends on how many other applicants are already in line. The cost of the permit relates to the cost of the project. The ceiling texture removal would require an asbestos test which you may already have and there is not asbestos.
