Livestock rotation is simple and easy with multiple fenced pastures, each with water. The alfalfa hay is dryland and is dependent on rainfall. When we receive good rain in the spring, summer and fall the hay crop is excellent. In a typical year, the hay is put up and then the hay fields are used for fall grazing. With August and September rains, the new growth on the alfalfa is excellent for elk and deer. The livestock rotation in the fall is smooth and easy with a bottleneck in the bottom that feeds into the older set of corrals.
